As part of their #NoGoBritain series, Channel 4 News produced the video below which tells the tale of Jess Naisbett, the daughter of Special Yoga Practitioner and trainer, Emma Naisbett. The report touches on the ways in which yoga and mindfulness practices can successfully assist children in managing anxieties and maintain their mental well-being.
No Go Britain: Mental Health and our children
A growing number of increasingly young children are suffering from some form of mental health issues. On World Mental Health Day, the children’s charity, Place2Be, says that almost three quarters of those it counsels show signs of anxiety, while over half are depressed or withdrawn.
In the latest of our No Go Britain series, our reporter is Jess Naisbett who hit crisis point whilst at primary school when she was just 10. She tells us how she fought her way back to health and explores the everyday worries that are getting children down.
