This course will strengthen your ability to uniquely guide children with dyslexia and dyspraxia using Special Yoga Foundation’s methodology.  The course will explore how to guide a child through a one-to-one session as well as within a group setting.

This one-day intensive course will focus on providing you with an essential set of strategies to support children with dyslexia and dyspraxia in confronting daily challenges such as anxiety, coordination and balance.

Sound and breathing techniques will assist to encourage a greater level of focus on the practice and the ability to self-regulate emotions. Practicing asanas will support the child to become more balanced in both their body and emotions, as well as become more  self-regulated.  A sense of self-awareness and a recognition of children’s individual strengths will be emphasised.

Founder of the Special Yoga Foundation and a leading expert in yoga for children and the creator of this course. Jyoti Manuel has devoted her life to increasing awareness, knowledge and practical experience around the therapeutic effects of yoga and making yoga available to as many children as possible.She has worked extensively with children with Dyslexia and Dyspraxia. This course is the result of her continued commitment to share the long-term


Teaching Style

You will be guided through highly effective and accessible strategies for integrating our remedial advantages of Special Yoga methodology into the lives of children with dyslexia and Dyspraxia. With these skills you will have the ability to tailor various settings to the specific needs of the child or group you support.

This course will take place on 25th of May 2017.
This training runs from 9:30-5:30 with an hour for lunch and appropriate breaks throughout the day.
