Our vocational trainings are intended to provide you with the tools to bring yoga into your existing profession. If you are a registered yoga teacher, our trainings will allow you to begin working with a more specific group of people.
How could Special Yoga benefit me?
- If you are, for example, a Special Needs Teacher, Occupational Therapist, or parent of child with special needs with no yoga experience, ‘Special Yoga for Special Children’ will prepare you with the skills to use with your child, or children, you work with.
- If you are a Nursery, Primary, or Secondary school teacher with yoga experience ‘Teaching Yoga and Mindfulness to Children’ will prepare you with the skills to use within your classroom.
- If you do not currently work with children/adults and have no yoga experience, we recommend further Yoga training. Please contact email@example.com to discuss how we could support your development.
Are the courses accredited?
All of our courses are accredited by Yoga Alliance UK, ASDAN, and Westminster Active Mark. Special Yoga Foundation is also a British Wheel of Yoga recognized centre.
Yoga Alliance: If you are already a member of Yoga Alliance UK (RYTT 200hr or 300hr), all of our trainings work towards your two training/workshop per year requirement. If you are not a Yoga Alliance member and are not a RYTT, you can apply to become a Yoga Alliance affiliate member.
ASDAN: This is a widely recognized accrediting body that awards certificates for those that have taken training with us at Special Yoga Foundation. ASDAN is an accrediting body that offers a range of nationally approved qualifications based around the development of personal, social and employable skills.
Westminster Active Mark: This is a two-year endorsement mark which shows Westminster residents that independent coaches, clubs or organisations provide a quality sports and leisure service and meet a range of quality standards set by the Active Westminster Mark partnership.
British Wheel of Yoga recognition: Special Yoga Foundation is one of two recognized training centres recognised by British Wheel of Yoga.
